"When I Was 16” is Cherise Carver’s 10th Country single and 8th song to go to Country radio. After visiting with a 16 year old girl, Cherise discovered the girl had quit high school after being bullied. The level of bullying was so bad the kids had made an Instagram page called “I hate (her name)” This was fuel for Cherise to pen and sing a song addressing the similarities and differences between growing up in the 80s vs. today.
