Cherise Carver’s latest release, "That Girl," is a compilation across multiple genres to give the listener a glimpse of her musical styles including Country, Adult Contemporary, and Contemporary Christian. She shares songs of love, life, loss and hope. Song inspiration: Rock In the Road was inspired by the Bobby Bones Show and tells the listener that relationship issues are sometimes just “that” and can be overcome when true love wins. That Girl is the story of finally being the “bride” after always being the “bridesmaid” and is symbolic of having it all with the man of her dreams. A Little While represents true love later in life as the singer prefers a shorter lifetime with the right person vs. “fifty years of nothing special.” I’m Gonna Love You has a throwback melody and tempo reminiscent of the Fifties. Don’t Have to Get Over You tells the tale of a woman who loses her man but chooses never to get over him. The Little Things is an ode to Cherise’s son, Justin, as he graduates High School. She is reflecting on how “the little things” in life are actually some of her most cherished memories. Look Up to Me is an inspirational Christian song spoken from God to his children.
God Gave Me You is the perfect wedding or anniversary song. Meant to Be has a soft rock feel reminiscent of a group like Journey. You Found Me is a love song depicting love found at a later stage in life when all seemed hopeless. Story of You and Me is an uplifting celebration of two people’s journey. Waiting for You was inspired by Cherise’s son being adopted by her second husband after the death of her first one. Withered Heart is an inspirational Christian song leading the listener back to Jesus after time apart. As a singer, songwriter, piano player, Cherise is a smalltown girl originally from Nashville, Arkansas. At the early age of nine, Cherise started singing and was inspired by Anne Murray, Karen Carpenter, and Carole King. She wrote her first song at the age of twelve. She released her first EP, "Crossroads", at the age of 19 and her first album with the Southern Gospel Group, Marvelous Grace, based in Northwest Arkansas. Her third album, "Your Will Your Way", was released nationally by Zion Music out of Nashville, TN in 2008.

Your Will, Your Way

Cherise Carver

An eclectic mix of country, southern, and pop country gospel to soothe your soul and uplift your spirit. Original songs of hope from my heart to yours.

Cherise started her Christian music ministry in 1997 with the creation of the musical group Marvelous Grace in Springdale, AR. As lead singer, songwriter, and keyboard player, she performed for thousands of people throughout Arkansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, Kansas, and Texas.

Cherise is a small town girl from Nashville, Arkansas. Music has always just come naturally to her. She is self taught on piano, songwriting (ASCAP), and singing. “When you sing in church and people feel the spirit, it is the best feeling in the world. God moves me and hopefully uses me to extend His message of love and hope. What an honor and a gift!”

Unlike a lot of performers, Cherise was not born into the ministry. There is no history of performers, songwriters, or singers on a professional scale in her family. This is truly a one on one relationship coming from one source. This is the story of a true underdog working extremely hard at everything she does and enjoying the ride along the way. “I firmly believe that to those God gives a lot, He expects a lot.”

Entwined in her songs are stories from the Bible and from her heart. Cherise blends her life experiences with spiritual ones to create a project that is truly unique and honest. Explore her story in her very first nationally released project, “Your Will, Your Way,” and enjoy the ride!

“The Spirit evokes emotions that create the songs.”
